                                               Nijhum Island
Generally we enjoy deer in the zoo or in any hilly area or forest in several numbers not more than hundreds. But how you will fell, if you are on the tree or aside of a tree, there are thousands or more than deer rambling on the ground in front of a forest. Really it is possible if you go to Nijhum Island. It is in the outlet of river Meghna, under Noakhali district, a Thana name Hatia. Nijhum Island is an union of Hatia. A forest developed in the northern side of the Island. This is also mangrove forest like Sunderban. Keora, Geoah, and Bine tree occupied the whole forest. Deers are available in the roots of the mangrove forest at the day-time. If any one enter in the forest he can see but it's run when a sound. All deer's come in the ground to take green grass when the sun starts to go. And again they return in the forest after sun-set. More than 30000 deer's are in this forest. Because there are no beast of prey like lion or tiger here.
Heron, Falcon, Pankouri(species of a diver bird akin to the cormorant),Hot-Ti-Ti birds hunting ground is this forest. Southern side of the Island is muddy and western side is sandy beach. Boundless sea is very much enjoyable from this sea beach. There are six thousand people in Nijhum Island. The people are very much hospitable. A lot of Buffalo are in this Island and curd of buffalo is very much tasty and famous of this Island.
Easy way to go Nijhum Island is launch. Every day at the evening only one launch start to Hatia from Sadar ghat. It reaches at Hatia 10-11 am. Then troller (engine boat) is easy vessels to go direct Nijhum Island. A motel and cheaper hotel are there and domestic foods are available in the restaurant.
